Mathletics

 Mathletics

This blog is about the math app "Mathletics".

Three things mathletics has helped me with is becoming a quicker problem solver, helping me with the area's I struggle in, understanding math better, and a little friendly competition between classmates, friends and people all over the world.

Two things I like about this app is that you can play against your friends or classmates. You can also play against people from different countries all around the world. Lastly, I like how it challenges me and how it has helped me become a quicker problem solver. Those are the things I like most about mathletics.

One way or thing I would change about mathletics is that they would show you how to do something. Mathletics is made for you to already know how to do everything in math and they don't have any directions for you to follow along with.

Mathletics is a great site and we use it all the time in class(If we have spare time or as an assignment)

I agree with the author's points. Everything the author said is true. They are the most common math mistakes. What stood out to me the most was how many of those most common math mistakes I don't do. I can do everything they listed without messing up. I think I need to improve on integers and decimals the most.

Fractions

Fractions

I have always liked fractions which may sound strange considering its one of the hardest things for people to learn in math. I guess I just understand fractions and I have worked at them and practiced to get where I am now. Adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions are probably one of my favorite things to do in math. I just understand how to find the common denominator, then how to add or subtract them, how to cross multiply, and how to invert then multiply to get the answer. I also like mixed numbers and changing them to improper or proper fractions.
I use fractions to make Kraft Dinner. Yup Kraft Dinner. I also use fractions to make rice, baking and kool-aid. I also use fractions in workshop, or for finding the percent of my completed assignments and for many other things in everyday life.

(I make my Kraft Dinner in the microwave) :D

Marks

Marks

Marks are super important in school, everything you do is because of it. Every assignment, test, and activity goes towards your grade (or are taken in for marks). I think that you should be marked on your math knowledge because you did the work to get there, plus if you don't feel appreciated you won't want to learn math but if you are credited for it you might actually want to learn math. But I also think you should be marked on your attitude towards math because if you don't want to learn you affect the whole class, the teachers and yourself. Whereas if you actually try to learn you could make the class run smoothly and have a positive influence on your classmates and teachers.
Marks are calculated by adding your total mark and dividing it by the total number of marks on the assignment (test etc.) and then multiply it by 100.
Nhi means that you haven't handed that assignment in and you should probably fix that because at my school everyday it's late 10% gets taken off your total mark.
